Greetings:
If Marxism fails every time, why do so many people fall for it and how do you make it work? Last week I introduced you to Antonio Gramsci. He along with intellectuals and sympathizers of Marxism came to believe that for Marxism to survive they had to take a different approach. Gramsci developed a different model, I quote, “In the new order, Socialism will triumph by first capturing the culture via infiltration of schools, universities, churches, and the media.” This model viewed the victory of Marxism not in the short time but only after a long march through cultural institutions. This pretty much is what we have today in American Marxism. Now to keep up the momentum a stratagem was added which proposes that everything in America is racially charged and comes out of what is called White Supremacy. Through this lens, what is affecting culture, the transformation of its basic institutions is deflected by saying and acting as though everything in the culture is a racial power dynamic, i.e. white people oppressing minority people. The idea is nothing new, Lenin once said, “Give me one generation of youth and I’ll transform the world.” From these ideologies and implementation of them we have seen a strain put on our culture like never before. We have Critical Race Theory being taught in our schools down to grades school levels. Multinational corporations are practicing heavy handed tactics on its work force by mandating employees to do things that are not always in the best interest of our country. Government agencies from the Federal level to school boards are demanding compliance to things that are not constitutional.
What we see transpiring in the country ignites questions in people’s minds. As Christians we find ourselves asking about our religious freedoms and how do we deal with events which are contrary to our beliefs. The first thing that comes to me is that we still live under the grace of God as we are part of His Church and kingdom. And as Christians we have a vested interest in defending the freedom granted us through our nation to practice our faith and liberties given through our Constitution and bill of rights. As we love our God and nation we maybe ought to be the first to defend them. We are approaching Thanksgiving, let’s take the time this year to thank God for every blessing He has bestowed on us. We do have much to be thankful for.
Have a blessed week. Pastor Rehborg
